Underrated supplements you should be using

Two of the most underrated supplements that everyone should be using are the amino acid glutamine and most definitely systemic enzymes. While glutamine is definitely overrated for muscle building, training recovery, and increasing growth hormone, it is amazingly underrated for improving gut health and supporting your immune system. Gut health is paramount to overall health! If your gut health is not on point which is all too common then you’re miserable and need to address it immediately. In addition to it being worth your time to take five grams of glutamine daily, everyone should have a bottle on standby for fighting colds and cases of flu as well as alleviating gut distress such as diarrhea. Here are some of the benefits of glutamine for gut health

  • Supports gut barrier function: Glutamine provides fuel for the cells lining the gut, helping to strengthen and maintain the integrity of the intestinal barrier. This prevents harmful bacteria and toxins from entering the bloodstream.
  • Reduces inflammation: Glutamine has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the gut. This is beneficial for conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
  • Improves gut microbiota: Glutamine is a preferred energy source for beneficial gut bacteria, promoting their growth and diversity. This helps to maintain a healthy gut microbiome, which is essential for digestion and immune function.
  • Heals gut damage: Glutamine is involved in the repair of damaged gut tissue. It stimulates the production of new cells and helps to restore the gut’s ability to heal itself.
  • Relieves gastrointestinal symptoms: Glutamine may help to alleviate gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating, cramping, and diarrhea.

When dealing with gut distress you may need to go up to 5 grams 4x per day until all symptoms are resolved then continue taking glutamine at 5-10 grams per day as a maintenance dosage. Glutamine is inexpensive and worth adding to your regimen. Any reputable brand such as Vitamin Shoppe or Nutricost will do.

Next up is one of my all-time favorite supplement categories systemic enzymes. Systemic enzymes such as my supplement Restorezyme are incredibly underutilized by folks in the fitness community to their detriment. You can’t beat the effectiveness of systemic enzymes for mitigating excess inflammation. Here is what my friend Dr. William Wong a leading expert on systemic enzymes states on the topic, “Five to ten capsules (depending on the intensity of the exercise) taken on an empty stomach after a workout will curb inflammation, improve recovery, speed tissue rebuilding and most importantly reduce the immune systems cortisol release in response to the post-training inflammation. If systemic enzymes are taken as daily supplements they will have a multitude of benefits you can study later but for now, know that they improve anabolism mostly by reducing cortisol catabolic effects. Speeding recovery from exercise and preventing post-exercise soreness is also a plus.” I have been using systemic enzymes since 2004 and they are incredibly effective for supporting training recovery and addressing aches and pains. While my testosterone booster ASTB is by far my best-selling product for obvious reasons as what man doesn’t want to improve testosterone levels, Restorezyme should be my best-selling product as it has the most potential benefits for overall health. Here are some of the potential benefits of systemic enzymes:

  • Reducing Inflammation: Systemic enzymes, such as bromelain and papain, have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce pain, swelling, and stiffness associated with conditions like arthritis, injuries, and surgery.
  • Improving Digestion: Proteolytic enzymes, such as trypsin and chymotrypsin, can aid in digestion by breaking down proteins and reducing bloating, gas, and indigestion.
  • Supporting Immune Function: Enzymes can help regulate the immune system and improve the body’s ability to fight infections and reduce allergic reactions.
  • Promoting Wound Healing: Enzymes can stimulate the production of new blood vessels and collagen, which is essential for wound healing.
  • Accelerating Recovery from Surgery or Injury: Systemic enzymes can help reduce inflammation and promote tissue repair, leading to faster recovery times.
  • Supporting Joint Health: Enzymes can help lubricate joints and reduce cartilage breakdown, potentially slowing the progression of joint diseases like osteoarthritis.
  • Reducing Pain: Enzymes can break down pain-causing substances, such as fibrin clots and inflammatory mediators.
  • Improving Blood Flow: Enzymes can help dissolve blood clots and improve blood circulation, which can benefit conditions like peripheral artery disease.
  • Promoting Cardiovascular Health: Some studies suggest that systemic enzymes may help reduce cholesterol levels and improve heart health.

The key with systemic enzymes is to determine the activation dosage. This could be as low as 6 caps of Restorezyme per day or as high as 15 caps per day. Once you find the activation dosage it will be obvious as you will experience a reduction in aches and pains and a noticeable improvement in training recovery time. Systemic enzymes have to be taken on an empty stomach to be effective. Otherwise, they become expensive digestive enzymes. Here is what some of my customers have to say about the benefits of systemic enzymes

I felt the need to chime in about my thoughts on your Restorezyme product. This stuff is the real deal! My soreness aches and pains have decreased significantly. I am able to recover so much quicker now! These enzymes are magic. I am hooked for life. I have recommended them to several people to try out and I am hoping they get the results they desire. Thanks for creating some of the best products available. The inflammation in my elbow joints is healed and I am able to do regular pullups with no pain again. This is worth it to me! As you had said, I must establish my idea dose to feel the benefits. Some days I take four caps at once. I am surprised this stuff isn’t more popular. I have a feeling it could blow up big. Thanks again, Mike!

Mike, I want to thank you for another absolutely outstanding product in Restorezyme. After achieving excellent results with the Recovery Oil and the Test booster, I had to try Restorezyme. As someone who spent the majority of his life working manual labor, at 36 I just accepted that all those years of roofing, construction, and landscaping had finally caught up with me. Since taking Restorezyme, two caps three times a day, I have noticed an amazing improvement. The nagging pains are gone and I wake up with fewer aches and stiffness. Along with a consistent stretching regimen, my sciatica has decreased a great deal as well. My shoulder isn’t clicking or popping as much either. I can’t recommend it enough. You have raised the bar in quality standards with your supplements and customer service. Thank you for all that you do Mike

Mike, I want to thank you for making such an excellent supplement in Restorezyme.  At 44 years of age with many years of heavy lifting, coupled with more recently long-drive golfing left & right-handed and heavy double kettlebell work… the consistent knee, back, and elbow pain was something I was prepared to deal with with for the long haul.   After taking your product my joints and residual soreness have gone away. The inflammation I was dealing with previously was awful and has now disappeared! I’m able to once again pursue all my athletic endeavors at full speed. Thanks again for making such an incredible product.

Hi Mike.  I just wanted to give you a shout-out about your Restorezyme.  It took me a week or so to figure out the dosage but once I did, I was quite surprised.  I am a lifelong cyclist & sometime runner, so upper body strength has not been a priority for me.  I started CrossFit and have packed on 20lbs in 2 years.  My bench press has never impressed anybody at only 150lbs.  I have been suffering from a pulled left pec and was having some other shoulder issues on the left side; my bench dropped down to 95 lbs, and then it was all I could do to press 75 lbs.  The weakness for presses on my left side had gotten pretty bad, my right side would punch the weight up while I could barely get the barbell off my chest on the left side.

Once I had the correct dosage of Restorezyme, after a week the soreness in my left chest & shoulder was gone.  The weight started back up towards my previous limits and I was able to get back to my working weight again.  We did testing this week to see what our new PRs were if any. The bench press is up by 20lbs!  The strict press went up another 5lbs!

I don’t want to sound like I’m over-hyping the product, but this stuff has produced the most desirable effect of any supplement I’ve taken.  I’m working out hard, but that “blown out & crippled” feeling I used to have on the day after is just gone.  I’m a bit sore and that’s it.  I’ve started recommending it to other folks, I can’t say enough good about systemic enzymes now.

I want to give you a testimonial for your Restorzyme products. I had a build of scar tissue in my Achilles/heel area from a partial Achilles tear. I could not stretch my Achilles or calf muscle in my leg without significant discomfort since the injury. I have tried EVERYTHING to break up the scar tissue, i.e. massage therapy, guasha, castor oil, etc. None of it worked. I started taking 6 Restorzyme caps twice a day about 20 days ago. I could almost feel the scar tissue start to “dissolve” after 10 days. As of yesterday, I cannot feel the scar tissue at all and I can stretch my calf without any discomfort at all. Additionally, I feel FUCKING GREAT, I am working out like a monster and feel totally recovered the next day.
