Are there any supplements you recommend for senior dogs with joint and mobility issues?

My #1 favorite supplement for senior dogs is cetyl myristoleate. Cetyl-M is a fatty acid with anti-inflammatory properties. It used to be theorized that Cetyl-M helps lubricate joints and improves flexibility. However, accruing to Ramneek S Bhogal, DC DABCI, “Improved inflammatory response with CMO is what ultimately leads to improved range of motion in the joints and overall improved joint comfort.* CMO is theorized to be a 5-LOX pathway inhibitor and decrease the expression of prostaglandins and leukotrienes that trigger systemic inflammation.*” I have used Cetyl-M with many of my dogs over the years and it is amazing how well it works for joint pain and hip discomfort. My dog Mona in her later years went from needing my help to stand up to being able to do it on her own after being on Cetyl-M for a few weeks! Just recently my yellow lab Rumi pulled a muscle running after some coyotes. He was limping around for over a week until I finally got him on Cetyl-m. Cetyl-m is something I will continue to give Rumi daily as a supplement as yellow labs are prone to joint and hips issues as they get older. While he is a young dog, I think it is prudent to take some precautionary measures rather than wait for a problem to arise before doing anything about it. I give Rumi the following brand of Cetyl M. I also think systemic enzymes such as my Restorezyme are also very beneficial for not only people but dogs as well. I give Rumi and my border collie mix Reyna two caps daily in between meals with a little bit of peanut butter or hummus.
